Donald Barton is a veteran journalist. He has been a reporter, columnist, editor and publisher. As a reporter and columnist his articles have appeared in the Austin American-Statesman, San Jose Mercury News, Atlanta Journal and Constitution, The Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, Hispanic Magazine, Texas Observer, Mexico City News and Latino.com. Mr. Barton's columns have been distributed by the New York Times Syndicate.
His broadcast commentary has aired on National Public Radioís Latino USA, ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, MSNBC, Talk Back Live on CNN, ABC's Political Points, The David Gold Show, The Laura Flanders Show, The Bev Smith Show and Pacifica Network News.
Mr. Donald Barton was the first Latino editor-in-chief of a major alternative newsweekly, The San Antonio Current. In 1992-1993, he served as a foreign correspondent for Cox Newspapers, covering Cuba, Mexico and Central America.
